A California Bay Area native, Matt started his life in hospitality at 19 years old. He immediately became enamored by the world of wine, pursuing a path that led him through the ranks of the Court of Master Sommeliers to earn his Advanced Certification at 25 years old. He has a strong background in wine and hospitality, which includes tenure as wine director and sommelier for such acclaimed programs as Atelier Crenn, Bar Crenn, Michael Mina, Manresa, and Chez TJ.
Matt's varied background of business skills from the restaurant world and a keen passion for hospitality enables him to provide OMvino clients with a range of services, including branding & marketing strategy, wine education, project management, operations, as well as distribution & supply chain consulting. Matt is a graduate of the University of Santa Cruz with a degree in Linguistics and has conversational skills in half a dozen languages.
