Grace Hood is a certified sommelier with over a decade of experience in the wine industry. In the past 10 years, she has worked in every facet of the industry, giving her a wide range of wine knowledge, as well as domestic and international hospitality experience. Beginning in the wine industry at the age of 21 and by 25, passing her Level 2 Certified Sommelier test, she has poured alongside Masters of Wine, Masters Sommeliers, generational vineyard owners, and world-renowned winemakers. All starting with a summer job during college pouring in a tasting room in New York, her career has taken her all over the country and the world; the Michelin star countertops of Manhattan, the white linen tablecloths of Texas, the cellars of the Willamette Valley, the world-premiere vines of Napa Valley, the bustling madness of Ho Chi Minh City and the snow-capped mountaintops of Vail. She currently resides in San Diego where she works as a freelance event sommelier, providing wine and hospitality service to high-end clientele in Southern California.
