The hospitality industry and writing have gone hand-in-hand for Jenn Pries. She started her first restaurant job the same year she started studying journalism. Since then, her experience of the two have grown together. While studying journalism at San Francisco State University, Jenn started visiting Northern California’s countryside and, in turn, the wine that grows there.
After graduating, she worked at restaurants while writing about food and drink for local publications like SF Weekly and the Bold Italic. She worked as a tasting coordinator and assistant editor for Wine & Spirits Magazine, and further developed her palate.
She loves the stories behind wineries and restaurants. She can frequently be found exploring the wineries, breweries, and eateries around and outside of the city.
